David Robert "Boddie" VanWormer, 74 of Temperance, MI Passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Toledo Hospital. David was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 19, 1950 to Robert and Josephine (Godby) VanWormer and was a 1970 graduate of Bedford Highschool. He had a lot of jobs overs the years beginning with Tops Department Store, Dana, Purex "The Bubble Factory", Bedford Township with Roger Fielding and he finally ended up with his dream job at Ford Motor Company.
David loved automotive body work.
David was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Kudelka.
Surviving are his loving wife of 36 years, Elisa VanWormer; children, Charles (Jill) VanWormer and Michele VanWormer, Rachel (Tony) Craley, Stephen (Shaenna) Steffin;
Grandchildren, Shelby VanWormer, Robert Sarver, Ashley Bremmer, Isabella Jawad, Dominick Craley, Liliana Steffin, Lincoln Steffin.
In celebration of David's life, a gathering at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman Rd.) Temperance, Michigan, will begin on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm.

Our deepest sympathy to all of your family. We have know David for a long time, were also Bedford graduates and have fond memories of talks with him. His laughter in conversations will be remembered.
