David Edward Vincent, 86, of New Castle, passed away at home on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 3, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1939, in Chanute, Tennessee, a son of the late Reed Bradley and Ruby Lillian (Beaty) Vincent. David was outgoing and never met a stranger in life. He was a 1959 graduate of Straughn High School and served honorably in the US Air Force during Vietnam. David was skilled in machine repair and hydraulics and worked as a Millwright, primarily in the Steel industry, throughout his career. He worked with various companies, including Western Electric, Chrysler, Reynolds Aluminum, National Automatic Tool, Avesta, and retired from Detroit Steel in Morristown, Indiana. David was also a craftsman and enjoyed woodworking. He was also an incredible gardener, with his produce often featured in the Courier-Times. Those left to cherish David's memory include one brother, Bobbie D. (Barbara) Vincent of New Palestine, several stepchildren, and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce A. Vincent; three brothers, Billie H., Bradley W., and Harold E. Vincent, and two sisters, Mary J. Conley and Mildred F. Wilson. Services were held privately at South Mound Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Sproles Family Funeral Home. The Sproles family and staff were honored to serve the family of David Edward Vincent.
