David grew up in Knox County where he graduated in the Knox County High School Class of 1977. He was a long-time employee of the Knox County Road and Bridge Crew, retiring in 2023. As an avid sports watcher, David was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals Fan, and in recent years, a Kansas City Chiefs Fan. There were very few sports he would not watch, and in his youth, you'd find him shooting hoops at the park in Newark. Since retiring, he enjoyed socializing with neighbors while driving in his side-by-side, as well as reading sports and mystery books. Friends and family were very important to David.
