David Brian Wallace, age 45, of Candor, passed away on October 20, 2025.
Born on April 13, 1980, in Montgomery County, David was the son of George and Sandra Kearns Wallace. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to serving his community. David was an active member of the Mountain Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Ellerbe Rescue Squad, and he also served as an EMT with Richmond County. In addition to his service, David enjoyed fishing and hunting, which brought him joy.
He is survived by his wife Shannon Lynn Blake Wallace of the home, sons Robert Wallace (Kristen) of Candor, Dwight Wallace and Dawson Wallace both of the home, mother Sandra Wallace of Candor, father Mike Wallace (Charleen) of Rockingham and brother Michael Wayne Wallace of Daytona, FL.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00-9:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Wallace Family Cemetery (4304 US Hwy 220 Alt. S, Candor) at 2:00 pm with Rev. Billy Reynolds officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in David's memory to Mountain Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.- 248 Godfrey Rd., Ellerbe, NC 28338.
