David "D.J." Waniger, age 36, passed away on December 25, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1989, in Two Rivers to Randall "Randy" and Lori Waniger. After graduating from Lincoln High School, D.J. went on to earn his bachelor's degree from UW–Green Bay. Following his education, he built a dedicated career at Krueger International, where he was employed for the past 15 years. Above all else, D.J. was known for his kind heart and selfless nature. He was always the first to step in when someone needed a helping hand. He loved his family very much and truly cherished the time they spent together. In particular, D.J. was a devoted uncle and godfather to his nephew, Theodore, whom he loved dearly. Theodore adored his Uncle D.J., and always looked forward to seeing him. In addition to his love for family, D.J. shared an especially close bond with his dog, Maverick. Their companionship was truly special and brought him great joy. He also had a lifelong passion for sports and faithfully supported the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs, and Milwaukee Bucks.

D.J. is survived by his mother, Lori Waniger; his brother, Eric (Deanna) Waniger; his nephew, Theodore Waniger; and his grandmother, Diane Nelson. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Waniger; and his grandparents, Capt. Albert D. Nelson, Charles Waniger, and Lois Waniger.

Family and friends will be welcomed at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 N. Water Street, Manitowoc, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A private service will be held for the family, followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
