It’s with a very heavy heart that we let you all know we said goodbye to our dear Dad, David Wayne “Bopie” Webb. On Saturday August 17th, he went peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by those that loved him most.
For those of you that knew David, you knew he would always greet you with a big hug, feed you a quick witted one liner or two, give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, and tell you he loved you before you left. He gave the expression “never met a stranger” new meaning. The conversations our family had over the last week have confirmed just how much so many of you adored and admired him, and that has brought us a great deal of joy
He was a caring brother. A devoted son. Favorite and crazed Uncle. Faithful and loving husband of 41 years to his beloved Holley. Dedicated, patient, and supportive father. And most recently he was an endearing and spoiling Bopie to his 8 grandchildren.
Rest easy, Bopie. We can’t wait to see the to-do list you’ve got ready for us when we see you again. We love and miss you.
Proceeded in death by Dad Lowell Wayne Webb and Mom Anna Lou Webb.
Survived by Wife Holley, son Jordan Taylor Webb and wife Amanda, daughter Blake Webb Hequet and husband Charles, and son Cameron David Webb. Grandchildren Charles, Jordan, Grayson, Maddox, Adalyn, Matthew, Gaige, and Emersyn. Sisters Claudia Seabaugh and Becky Howell and their families.
The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, August 28th at 2pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst with an open house to follow at the Webb home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David’s life.
