David Harrison Wells, 87, of Ashland, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at UH Samaritan Medical Center.
David was born August 25, 1937 in Ashland, Ohio to Emmett and Maude {McManamay} Wells.
He graduated from Ashland High School in 1955.
He married Joyce A. Bennett on October 17, 1957. She survives.
He was a painter and a pressman at Faultless Abbott where he retired after 38 years. He attended Emmanual United Methodist in Ashland and Christ Community Evangelical Free Church. He was a member of the Starcraft Campers Club and for over 50 years they went to various states each year. Riding motorcycles was a family event with Tom and Pam’s families, he enjoyed going to softball games and spending time in Florida with his wife.
David will be deeply missed by his wife; children Deb (Keith) Kelley, Tom (Susie) Wells, and Pam Drugan all of Ashland; grandchildren Luke (Christina) Kelley, Brock Kelley, Ryan (Brittany) Wells, Natalie (Jason) Garber, Rachel (Quinn) Brown, Lee (Brittany) Drugan; great-grandchildren Titus, Elianna, Malachi and Ezra Kelley, Jensen, Brayden and Tanner Wells, Hunter Wagner, Robert and Braydon Brown, Brody and Brynn Drugan.
David was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Don Drugan, and grandson Zachary Kelley, 7 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home home with Pastor Luke Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
