David J Weyer

David J. Weyer, 81, of Dewey Rose, GA, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born on December 31, 1943, in Altoona, PA, David was the son of the late Richard Graffius Weyer and Dorothy Elizabeth (Weibley) Weyer. He dedicated 49 years of his life to working for J.C. Penney, where he served as a Retail Manager. In addition to his retail career, David owned and operated White Mountain Bakery in Rutland, Vermont.

David was an avid lover of the outdoors and had a deep appreciation for gardening. His love for animals was especially evident in the care he gave to his beloved dogs, Buzzy, Skidder, and Buffy. His compassion for animals extended beyond his own pets, reflecting his kind and giving nature.

David was preceded in death by his brothers, James Weibley, Richard Weyer, and Charles Weyer.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Patricia "Pat" Weyer; his son, Timothy Przepiora (Lorrine); his brother, W. Scott Weyer; and a host of cherished nieces and nephews.

In honor of David's love for animals, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hart County Animal Rescue, 2545 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643, in lieu of flowers.

At the family's request, no formal services are scheduled at this time.
