We had some great times together pal. You were like a big brother to me and taught me everything I know about officer survival and tactical shooting. Some of the things you taught me helped to save my life on more than one occasion.
I'm sorry we couldn't seem to connect during your last few years but with my wife's death and other health issues, it just wasn't possible. Rest in Peace my friend. I'll see you soon enough.

You were like an older brother to me. You taught me everything I know about tactical shooting. Some of what you taught me has saved my life on the job. I'm sorry we couldn't connect in your last years. Rest easy "Guns". I'll see you soon enough.

Dave was my DI at the police academy. Later he was my Sergeant at North East division. We were members of the shooting club and even later I was a member of undercover as he once was. He was a mentor and a good friend. I personaly miss him and his wife Loraine.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Dave Wheeler. I first met Dave in the 1970's at an IPSC shooting event in Rainbow CA. We competed at shooting events for a decade or more in individual shooting events, and also as members of Police Shooting Teams. Dave was always a great gentleman and a talented competitor.
My best regards,
