David Franklin White, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, peacefully passed away at age 83 on October 7, 2023, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on April 17, 1940, in Greenville, Ohio, to David O. White and Elizabeth (Alley) White. David's passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but his memory will forever be cherished.

As a young man, David served his country with honor and distinction in the Army. His military service instilled values of discipline and responsibility within him that remained pillars of his character throughout his life. David's commitment to duty was unwavering, and he approached every challenge with courage and determination.

Beyond his professional achievements and military service, David will be remembered as a loving family man. Devoted to his children, grandchildren, and siblings, he exemplified what it means to be a caring and supportive man.

When not focused on work or family obligations, David indulged in two passions: fishing and crossword puzzles. He found peace in the tranquility of nature while casting his line into glistening waters. It was during these moments that he found solace and a deep connection with the world around him. Similarly, crossword puzzles challenged him intellectually and provided an outlet for relaxation.

David is survived by his children, Diana Lay (Andy), Debbie White and Darren White (Lori); 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dan (Chris) White, Darlene (Harold) Snyder.

He is preceded in death by his parents, David O. and Elizabeth White; his brother, Duane White; and stepfather, Melvin Cox.

Services will be private.
