David A. Williams, Sr., 58, of Troy, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born and educated in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Milford J. "Mil" and Jane A. Frazier Williams.

David had been a loyal employee at John B. Garrett Medical Supply Co. in Troy.

David loved Bingo, going to Batavia, fishing, traveling and his friends. He was a man who helped everyone and would never say no to anyone.

Beloved husband of Lillian E. Gaunay Williams, devoted father of the late David A. Williams, Jr. and is survived by children Dawn (Paul) Wilkes, David A. (Audrey) Williams, III, Alexandra Williams and James Wilkes, stepfather of Brittany Murray; brother of Jane Marie (late, Stephen, Sr.) Davis and the late Milford J. "Mil" (Jean) Williams, Jr., Richard B. "Taxi" (Amy) Williams and William P. "Billy" (Shelly and the late, Gloria) Williams, grandfather of Brooke and Chase, Alexander, Brody and Jayden and Anthony, Emily and Riley, also survived by several nieces, nephews and his best friend Joshua J. Cook, Sr.

Relative and friends are invited to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115 th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 on Monday, August 25, 2025 for his Visitation from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and to the Celebration of Life with Prayers to begin 3:00 p.m.

You are also invited to join his family at his burial with Committal Prayers on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.

David's family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to the Troy Fire Department Paramedics as well as to the Samaritan Hospital ER doctors, nurses and staff for all of their efforts and wonderful care provided to David and his family.
