David A. Williams, 65, of Middletown, Connecticut, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
David was born on May, 19, 1960 in Newport, RI to parents Constant and Annie (Crabb) Williams. He grew up in neighboring Middletown, where he developed a lifelong love of planes. His early years in the Civil Air Patrol led him to East Coast Aero Technical School where he studied to become an aircraft mechanic. He spent more than 30 years in the field, taking great pride in his work. When he wasn't working, you could find him building models, enjoying a car show, or reading car magazines.
David will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, and steady presence. Along with his love for planes, cars, and scale modeling, he was a dog enthusiast and rarely without a four-legged friend by his side. He had a great sense of humor and was known for finding the perfect card for every celebration. His gift for remembering stories and sharing family history will be missed.
He is survived by his sister, Kim (Leonardo); niece, Chelsey (Jonathan); nephew, Kellen, and a host of close friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Constant and Annie Williams.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd, Newport, RI with a memorial service to follow in the church. Burial will be private.
The family requests donations be made to the ALS Association www.als.org in David's memory.
