David Willson Obituary

Visit the Lucas Funeral Home - Keller website to view the full obituary.

David H. Willson, age 38, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away suddenly on February 19, 2026—a profound loss for all who loved him dearly.

David was born on January 18, 1988, to Stephen Willson and Chin-Hua Ho in Fort Worth, Texas. After graduating from North Crowley High School in 2006, David answered a call to serve his country in the Navy from 2007 to 2011. In the Navy, he excelled in technical training to become an aircraft maintenance technician. David continued his career in the medical field as a scrub technician before transitioning into his role as a financial advisor, where his wisdom and steady presence guided many. He was well known for excelling in whatever field he entered.

David met Samantha Crespin in 2013 at Boudro’s on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. As those close to him recall, David came home the night he met her with complete confidence that they would one day be married. It was there on the Riverwalk that their love blossomed. They did indeed marry and began to raise a beautiful family together in Fort Worth, Texas. There, they became devoted members of Northbrook Church.

David was a caring husband to Samantha, an earnestly involved father to his four boys, and a loyal son and brother. He stood out as one who put his whole heart into serving his family. He beamed with joy when he talked about Samantha and the boys, and they beamed in return when they looked at him. Through David’s loving discipline, his children also became well known as those who were a delight to be around and could be uniquely trusted to play independently and safely.

By his church community and others, David is remembered as one who seemed to strive mightily to please his Lord. He was always known to be the first to answer a call to serve in any capacity and to exhort his community to do the same. He always wanted to be there for those who needed him, and he is always remembered for being there early and with a smile.

David was preceded in death by his son, Tristan. He is survived by his wife, Samantha; his four sons, Tobias, Jace, Noah, and Isaiah; his father, Stephen; his mother, Chin-Hua; his stepmother, Shelly; his sister, Jacqueline; his nephew, Gavin; his brother Fabian; and his stepsister, Chloe.

A viewing service and funeral will be held on March 1, 2026 at Redemption Story Church from 1:30-2:00pm for a public viewing, and 2:00-3:00pm for the funeral service. 2100 Morrison Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76112.
