Preceded in death by his parents Donald and Shirley (nee Turner) Winkler, father-in-law George Nell, brother-in-laws Ken Klaas, Norm Ryan, Al Hurlebaus and niece Chelsea Winkler.
David was born in Lancaster, Wisconsin.
David was enthusiastic about life. Fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time with family and friends were favorite pastimes for David. He was selfless, generous and tender-hearted, treating everyone he met with kindness, warmth and humor.. He will be missed by all.
David was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Due to generational differences, I did not know David well, but the rest of the family known for decades. May God bless all of you. Prayers and sympathies are extended.
