Above all else, David was a wonderful husband to my step-daughter Sarah. And he was always wonderful to my husband and me wherever we were - at their (David and Sarah's) apt in Boston, their place on St John's, or here on MDI. And he was always friends with my son and his family, and visited them (out of State) a number of times. We mss him very much. Jane and John (Sarah's parents)

My deepest sympathy to David's family, friends and coworkers. He leaves behind a legacy of teamwork and creating a large family atmosphere to be shared with all who worked at his hotels. Rest in peace Mr. Witham.

We reacquainted at our 60th year St. James Highschool celebration (9/15/17) and with permission promised to pray for him every evening with my daughter Sophia (14 yr.). We will continue that prayer forever and meet again in much less than another 60 years... God Willing. Rest gently, David, kind soul and well-earned.
