David Wright Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ricker Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Woodsville on Jan. 22, 2026.
North Haverhill, NH - David Allen Wright, Sr., 68, passed away at the Jack Byrne Center on Monday, January 5, 2026. He was born on August 5, 1957, in Haverhill, NH to Matilda (Vintinner) and George Wright. Everyone called him "Too Tall" and he liked the nickname.
David spent a large share of his life in his childhood home on Back Bay Road in Pike, NH. Not one to be tied down, he did things his own way; instead of following along at school, he got a GED himself; instead of working for others, he was a self-employed mechanic; instead of keeping quiet chickens he got outspoken guinea hens and called them pets. David enjoyed working on cars, and when his sons got old enough, he was able to pass on that mechanical knowledge to all three of them. He was very proud of his boys. He moved to North Haverhill and lived with his son Mathew and family during his final months.
He is predeceased by his parents George and Matilda ("Tilly") and his siblings Doug and Marilyn.
David has been survived by his children; David Wright, Jr. and his wife Megan, Mathew Wright and his wife Amber along with their children Ellie and Rylee, and Luke Wright and his wife Heather along with their children Kinsley and Harper; and by his sister Patty.
He was a beloved father, son, friend, and grandfather. He will be truly missed by his close friends and family.
There will be a private celebration of life for David's family and friends.
