David Zantow Obituary
After returning to Janesville, David was employed at Radio Shack until it closed. He was an avid ham radio operator. He will be remembered for being very talented at electronic and computer repair.
David is survived by his mother, Joan Zantow; sister Mary (Paul) Harding; nephews Zack Green and Nick Key. He was preceded in death by his father, Diehl Zantow; sister, Charlotte Key and brother, Richard Zantow.
No services will be held. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. The family is being assisted by HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. Online condolences may be sent to www.henkeclarson.com

I met David a year before entering into Kindergarten. He was my best friend in those early years. I had just emailed him suggesting we get together since I'd been out of the country for 25 years. Seeing this, I'm still in a bit of shock. Dave, wish we'd met one more time here. See you on the other side "Technician".

What a terrible loss to the shortwave community, radio collectors and users. Dave's contributions to the hobby will live on forever. Outside the hobby, he was a genuinely nice guy. I'll miss our every so often meetings at hamfests... RIP Dave, and condolences to the family.

What a shock. It's difficult to believe that I'll never be able to email Dave again, and will never again be able to receive his thoughtful and informative replies. You're never ready for something this sudden and heavy. What helps though is that I have no doubt that Dave is in Heaven and is warmed by God's loving glow. I'm extremely thankful for having met Dave, even if from a distance.

Very sorry to learn of Dave's passing. I'm a radio hobbyist in Neenah and visited with him yearly at the Madison and Milwaukee gatherings. His research/analysis was deeply appreciated by many in our hobby and condolences to his family.
