Dawn Michelle "Mookie" Hyde, 47, of Cleveland, Tennessee went home to be withe Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Michelle was born on June 27, 1978 in Cleveland, Tennessee to Freddie Ray Hyde and Mildred "Myrt" Hyde. Michelle loved gospel singing, the beach, her 4 legged babies, and spending quality time with her family. In her spare time Michelle enjoyed spending time at the Dirt Track and watching the Georgia Bulldogs.
She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Ray Hyde; her paternal grandparents, Homer and Maude Hyde; her maternal grandparents, Jessie and Gladys Byington; along with a host of aunts and uncles.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother, Mildred "Myrt" Hyde; two special aunts, Ann Hanks, and April Duncan; her special uncle, Jessie "Bo" Byington Jr.; her fur babies, Raven, Pepper, Georgie Ray; special friends, Connie and Lloyd "Daddy G" Davis, Phil "Pop" Clark, Ann "Granny" Borders, Rita winters, Jamie Bettis, Swayer Bettis, and Christy (Jeff) Kelly, and Mike Wilson; along with a host of special cousins, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Ridge Sanctuary with Pastor Shane Lawson and Janelle Martin of Kairos Ministries officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00 pm with Todd Thurman, Greg Young, Logan Duncan, Morgan Boone, Ricky Hale, Raymond Smith, Scotty Silvers, Nathaniel Kelly serving as pallbearers.
