Dawn Marie Link, a woman who lived life like she crocheted - one stitch at a time, always colorful, and occasionally with a cobra by her side. Born in Sandwich, MA, on September 3, 1962, Dawn brought her unique flair and humor to the world until her passing on October 3, 2023, in Flint, Michigan.
Dawn was the kind of woman who could find the funny in any situation. She was the life of the party, the sparkle in your eye, and the one who'd introduce you to her pet cobra before she'd offer you a drink. She was as creative as she was hilarious, weaving intricate designs into her crochet work, and even more elaborate tales into her conversations.
Her family was the punchline to every joke and the heart behind every laugh. She is survived by her children, April (Rick) Doolin, Jeffery (Crista) Link, her parents, Harvey and Charlotte Irish, and her siblings, Tammy (Life partner Jeff Venner), Heather (Ron) Haley, special family, Tina (Marcos) Garcia, and Don (Rosa) Fyfe. She was the beloved Ribbit (Grandma) to her five grandbabies, Tryston, Charlotte, Sophia, Caitlyn, and Jeffery. She was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Irish, and many aunts and uncles who are no doubt up there now, rolling in the aisles at her heavenly stand-up routine.
Dawn's love for crocheting was only rivaled by her love for her cobra. She enjoyed introducing people to her slithery friend, always with a mischievous twinkle in her eye and a punchline on her lips.
In the grand comedy show of life, Dawn Marie Link was a headliner. Her laughter was infectious, her spirit was indomitable, and her love was unconditional. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, creativity, and the occasional cobra-related prank. So, let's raise a glass to Dawn, who taught us to laugh, to love, and to never take life too seriously. Because in the end, aren't we all just trying to keep our stitches tight and avoid the cobras?
