Dawn L. Maglione, 90, of Edison, passed away surrounded by her loving children on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Regency Heritage Nursing and Rehab in Somerset.

Born in Chicago, ILL., she had resided in Edison since 1956.

Dawn was a Telephone Operator for Bell Communications beginning her career there as teenager and then again after raising her family. She was Vice President of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) Union 1011 and was a fierce advocate for workers' rights.

She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Peter Maglione (d.1999) and her brother, Thomas Holsten

Surviving are her children, Brenda Cooper and her husband Dennis of Edison, Peter Maglione and his wife Christine of Miller Place, NY and Dean Maglione of Farmingdale; her grandchildren, Dennis Cooper, Brianna Cooper, Catherine Maglione, Cal Maglione, and William Maglione who she adored.

She was a strong woman with unwavering support for her family. She was an excellent cook and baker passing down this love to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and grew many types of flowers, roses being her favorite. She maintained a beautiful Koi Pond and would spend hours tending to her fish and water plants. She taught her children to appreciate the beauty of nature. She was kind, caring, accepting and helpful to all.

The Funeral was private.
