Dawn Marie McLees, 69, of Kellogg, Idaho passed away peacefully with her husband by her side after a very hard fought battle with cancer on May 02, 2025. Dawn was born in the old Providence Hospital in Wallace, Idaho on October 30, 1955 and has lived in the Silver Valley for many years.
Dawn worked for the State of Idaho as a labor compliance officer with a career spanning 25 years. She had an infectious smile and, if you were a friend, you were friends for life. She will surely be missed by many.
Her hobbies included bowling, reading, crafting, and she loved loading the boat at the Cataldo Mission and running up the river to Popcorn Island and even all the way to Harrison.
Dawn belonged to The Corner Book Club, Friends of Kellogg Public Library, and P.E.O. Chapter M.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Jennie Arnhold; and her brother, Herb Arnhold, all of Idaho.
Survivors include her husband, Kelly McLees of Kellogg, Idaho; her children, Richard Wainright, Jr. and spouse, Jennifer of Florida, Joshua Wainright of North Carolina, and Carly Wainright of Wisconsin; her grandchildren, the lights of her life, Carson (Wisconsin), Maris and Sophie (Florida); and her brother, Tim Arnhold and spouse, Amy, of Kellogg, Idaho.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Mountain View Congregational Church, 525 W. Cameron Ave, Kellogg, Idaho.
