Ms. Vinet, 53, of Collinsville, died January 1, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, following a courageous three year battle with cancer.
Dawn was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was Christian by Faith and followed the Lord throughout her life. She was a strong woman and courageous fighter; she fought for her health and her family. She was a fierce friend to all; she would do anything within her strength to take care of those around her. Dawn loved making others look and feel beautiful; she used her talents as a cosmetologist at East Mississippi State Hospital taking care of elderly residents. She also used her talents to take care of her clients at Trendsetters Salon in Meridian, MS. She was passionate about her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Mimi.” Above all her love for the Lord and her family were always at the forefront of her spirit.
Ms. Dawn is survived by her sons, Steven Manis and Ricky Manis (Chrissy); grandchildren, Bryson Manis, Kinslee Manis, and Anniston Manis; her mother, Cindy Snoke (Chris); her siblings, Charlotte Spann (Charles) and Gus Vinet (Ashton); as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Dawn is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Atlee and Deanna Mabile.
Pallbearers will be Steven Manis, Ricky Manis, Gus Vinet, Zac Vinet, Nick Vinet, Matthew Spann. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryson Manis, Kamp Vinet, Ronnie Hembree, and Josh Spires.
The Vinet Family suggest, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made as donations to the Children’s Ministry in memory of Dawn Vinet at Evangel Temple Church.
