Dawn Wilds

Dawn Wilds, of Greeneville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy defined by devotion to family, deep faith, and lifelong friendships. Dawn was a woman of strength and compassion, known for placing others before herself and loving fiercely. Her heart extended far beyond blood, embracing family, friends, and all those she welcomed into her life. She is survived by her loving son, Joshua Martin, and his wife, Kelli; her daughter, Brandy Tyler; her brothers, Lenny (Pat) Wilds, David (Becky) Wilds, and Randall Wilds; and her sister, Sharon (Jerry) Kesterson. She was a proud grandmother to her grandsons, Madden and her soon-to-arrive grandson, a baby boy not yet named, and her granddaughters, Brittany Wilds, Emily Tyler, and Elizabeth Tyler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and by Stacy Young, who was like a daughter to her and held a special place in her heart.

Dawn shared a deep and lasting friendship with Donna Dearstone and Jackie Hinkle, whose love and companionship meant the world to her. She was a faithful member of Faith Temple Church, where her faith guided her life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Wilds; her father, D. C. Wilds; her sister, Chrystal Turner; and her brother, Scotty Wilds.

Dawn will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Wednesday December 31, 2025 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow at 6pm in the funeral home chapel. The graveside service will be 10am Thursday in River Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9am Thursday to go in procession.
