Dawson passed away on January 15, 2026, in Winter Springs, Florida.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, on January 29, 1949, to H.D. "Bill" and Maxine Williams, Daw-son remained a Jacksonville resident for most of his life. He spent nearly 30 years in the automotive industry, with the majority of his career dedicated to Nimnicht Chevrolet. Dawson earned a reputation for his reliability and genuine care for his customers.
Dawson was a good neighbor. He spent many hours ensuring his neighborhood was clean and well-kept, and he was known for quietly taking care of outdoor chores for his elderly neighbors. His heart for service was most evident in the devoted care he provided for his aging mother in her later years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Maxine Williams, and his beloved son, Hank.
Dawson is survived by his sisters, Maxine Jones (Larry) and children and grandchildren, and Betty Johnson (Hank). He also leaves behind his daughter, Kim Arumbula (Leo), and his son, Rodney Williams (Kari), as well as a cherished circle of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at Franklin Street Baptist Church on Friday, January 23rd at 11:00.
