Kathy Sue Borras 1952 – 2026
Kathy Sue Meyer Borras, 73, of Orlando, Florida, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by love on Friday, February 20th, 2026. Born in Covington, Kentucky on November 17th, 1952, Kathy was the third of seven children to John E. Meyer (1922 - 1989) and Betty J. Meyer (1929 - 1995).
She is survived by her loving husband, David T. Borras; her children, Jason Faulconer of Sorrento, Florida; David Faulconer of Lexington, Kentucky; Brian Faulconer of Lexington, Kentucky; Kyle Hornsby of Longwood, Florida; and Kari Hornsby of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Austin, Parker, William, Samuel, and Bailey; and siblings John Meyer, Stephen Meyer, Bradley Meyer, Wayne Meyer, and Cindy Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Meyer.
Kathy possessed a warm and generous heart. She was frequently referred to as "Mom" by many, who often expressed how much they valued her kind and welcoming presence in their lives. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was dancing with her husband on the porch or in the middle of a restaurant, cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, watching the birds and squirrels from her window or spending time with our beloved pugs. Kathy was deeply loved and will be missed by many. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, we invite you to celebrate her life by sharing any stories, memories, or photos you may have.
