Rena Adams Sanders Borras

Rena Adams Sanders Borras passed away peacefully January 13, 2025 at her home in Chester, TX at the age of 93.

Born on September 23, 1932, Rena was the loving wife of Melvin “White” Borras; and mother to Jessie Sanders (Farah) and Bobby Joe Sanders (Jeannie). She was born in Westwego, LA, moved to Texas for about 30 years, then returned to Westwego. She enjoyed spending time at she and White's Camp Cataouatche after he retired from Avondale shipyard. Rena was a charter member of First Assembly of God’s Church, now known as God’s House.

She leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Rena was preceded in death by her parents Rev Davis Adams and Lucia Plaisance Adams; son Brent John Borras Sanders; brothers Irvin, David, Andrew, Dennis, Alvin, and Charles; and sisters Esma Adams, Mable Comeaux, Edith Frickey Babineaux, Hazel Cooper, Esther Adams, and Rachel Guidroz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 1pm at Sidney Plaisance Family Cemetery, 1112 Avenue E, Westwego, LA 70094.
