Dawsyn Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McAlpin Funeral Home - Sneads on Feb. 17, 2026.
Dawsyn "Parker" Smith, a shining example of youthful joy and kindness, passed away on February 15, 2026, in Marianna, Florida, at the tender age of nine. Born on January 13, 2017, in Tallahassee, Florida, Parker's bright spirit and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew him.

Parker was a cherished son to Hunter Edward Smith (Hannaih) and Dakota Sheridan Smith. His presence was a gift to his family, who eagerly anticipated the arrival of his younger brother. He was the beloved grandson of Amy Smith, Stacey Charles, Tammy Smith and Paul Smith. His great-grandparents, Gayle Smith and Darlene Smith, will miss his radiant smile and warm hugs. Parker's cousin, Aynzley Smith, was like a sister to him, and his bond with another cousin, Adyson Martinez, was filled with laughter and shared adventures. His aunt Meagan Smith, uncle Tyler Weeks, and a host of other cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends will forever hold dear the memory of Parker's loving and friendly spirit.

Parker was a bright student at Marianna K-8, where his intelligence shone brightly. His teachers and classmates will remember him as a very smart child who brought kindness and friendship to the classroom every day.

A boy of many interests, Parker found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid Xbox player, with a particular fondness for the Roblox game. His creativity was evident in his drawings, which were cherished by his family and friends. Fishing trips were a source of great excitement for Parker, as were the times spent riding his four-wheeler. The bonds he formed while hanging out with his friends and cousins were unbreakable, filled with the pure happiness of shared experiences.

Parker's life, though brief, was a testament to the power of love and kindness. He was a friend to all, his heart as vast as the Florida skies under which he played. His kind nature was a constant reminder of the goodness in the world, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Parker is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Ray Smith, Paul L. Smith, Sandra Williams, and Robert Cloud, as well as his grandfather Mark Smith. Their legacy of love and family will live on through Parker's memory.

As we bid farewell to Dawsyn "Parker" Smith, we celebrate the profound impact he made in his nine years. His life was a beautiful, albeit brief, masterpiece of loving connections and joyful moments. Parker's spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family and friends, reminding us to cherish every moment and to approach the world with the same loving, friendly, and kind heart that he did. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love will continue to flourish in the hearts of those he touched.

A Funeral Service celebrating the life of Parker will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM Central Time at McAlpin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Holiness Church Cemetery in Sneads, FL. A time of visitation will be held on Friday February 20, 2026, at McAlpin Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Central Time.
