Dean Allen Bricker

Dean Allen Bricker, 78, of Springfield, IL. passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at his home. Dean was born in Effingham, IL. the son of Allen and Velma (Radcliffe) Bricker. He married Sue Perkins on February 14, 1970 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dean proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a lifetime member of the First Infantry Division Association "Big Red One", and member of VFW Post 10302, American Legion Post 32, Past master for Rochester Masonic Lodge #635 and member of Tyrian Lodge #333 as well as the Scottish Rite in Springfield. Dean worked for Hanson Professional Services for over 40 years before retiring. Dean is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sue; son, Craig (Georgie) Bricker, of Olney, Maryland; two grandsons, Henry and John Bricker; brother in law Ron (Shelly) Perkins of Centralia, IL; sister, Jo Cutright of Toledo, IL and sisters in law, Kris (Norman) Luster of Ramsey, IL; Sandy (Mike) Davies of Pittsfield, IL. as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Wilson Park Funeral Home on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 10:30. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Inter Veterans Burial Detail will conduct military honors.
