Dean Compagner Obituary
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Lorie, his children and grandchildren, Mitchell and Ashley Compagner (Eleanor, Greta, Thea), Claire and Clark Becksford (Nolan, Aiden, Leila), Reid and Heather Compagner (Emery, Rosie), his mother Polly Stroven, his siblings, Amy Basch, Ross and Julie Compagner, Tyce and Patty Compagner, and his sister-in-law Carla and Eric Pennings.
Dean graduated from Zeeland High School in 1977. Dean owned Lakeside Sheet Metal and was co-owner of The Upper Cut Salon and Spa with his wife. Dean got his pilot's license and enjoyed being a recreational pilot. Dean was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he loved spending time with his family at their cabin in Kalkaska. He was an avid outdoorsman, and he especially loved hunting, fishing and gardening.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street. A memorial service to honor the life of Dean will be held at 12 noon Friday, May 30, 2025, at Gibson Christian Reformed Church, A-6486 140th Ave, Holland. Interment will be in Gibson Cemetery. www.yntemafh.com

Dean was a wonderful man. Always there to help and support others! He was also so kind and sympathetic! Always enjoyed talking with him. Will miss him!
