Lin Compagner Obituary
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren: Steve and Shawn Compagner (Alisha and Nick Boeve [Teagan and Evelyn], Britney and Nate Poll, and Colton Compagner), Corey and Carrie Compagner (Nicholas Compagner, Austin Sandberg, Sara Sandberg and Adam Sandberg), Tara and Brian Kruithof (Taylor Kruithof, Kacie Kruithof and Josh Kruithof), and Brandan and Nicole Compagner (Kameron Compagner and Cohen Compagner); her sisters: Sandee Dykema, Jan and Glenn Hart, Vickie and Barry Vander Sloot, and Kathy and Rick Turchetti.
Lin was preceded in death by her grandson Dylan Compagner in 2017.
Lin graduated from Zeeland High School and Pine Rest School of Nursing. Lin worked as an LPN in family medicine for several years and retired from Spectrum Health Physical Therapy. She was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church.
Lin had a huge passion for her grandchildren, knitting and Chicago White Sox baseball.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. Private funeral service will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church. Live streaming of Lin's funeral service will be available at 2 pm Monday at https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Religious-Organization/Bethel-Christian-Reformed-Church-144875065532840/. Interment will be in West Drenthe Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Kids Hope Program at Bethel Christian Reformed Church or The Bridge Youth Center. www.yntemafh.com

Lin was so special to our family. She always was willing to help us out and she smiled and laughed so much with us. We have known Lin for a long time and she helped out at our wedding, it was so special having a family friend help us out. Lin will forever be in our hearts. We are praying for all of you at this difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear of Lin's passing. I enjoyed working with her at Urgent Care for a number of years. She tried to teach me to knit without success. She was so talented with the knitting. It was always so good to bump into her around town every now and then. She was a fantastic lady. My sympathies to her entire family.

So surprised about the death of Lin. I worked with her at Holland Family Medicine in the 60's and early 70's. Saw her once in a while and thought she was healthy. So sorry for your loss. She is about my age; so that is very sobering to me.

I got to know Lin as neighbor much later. She worked in my therapist office when I discovered we had the same neighborhood. She was a delightful person professionally and as a neighbor. I will miss her beautiful personality. JudyDrennan

I worked with Lin for just a short 1 1/2 in Physical Therapy at Zeeland Hospital. Lin was a wonderful person, she cared personally about each and everyone she encountered. She made us all gifts last Christmas and I still use those on a daily basis. Lin was very open about her faith so I pray your family has comfort that we will see her again. I'm praying for your entire family.
