Dean Louise Conyer, of Paducah, died on Dec. 7, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born to Charles & Willa Dee Edwards on Wednesday, July 20, 1938, in New Castle. Dean was a spirited and loving individual admired by all who knew her. She earned an associate degree and devoted many years of service to U.S. Bank Corporation (formerly Citizens Bank), where she retired after a fulfilling career.
Dean was an active member of Broadway Church of Christ, where her faith and fellowship enriched not only her life but also those of her church family. Her zest for life was evident in her enthusiasm for sports, where she excelled as an avid golfer and gardener and found joy in swimming and playing tennis.
Dean's legacy is one of warmth, friendship, and a love for the life she lived. Her radiant spirit and engaging personality will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Mrs. Conyer is survived by her daughter, Susan "Susie" Theobald Moore (Michael) of Rockport, Texas; her son, Barry Theobald (Mary) of Hurricane Mills, Tennessee; and two stepsons, Jerry Conyer Jr. (Lisa) of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Mike Conyer of Nashville, Tennessee. She's also survived by her sister, Mary Nelle Zanett (Bud) of Greenville, South Carolina, and seven grandchildren: Katie Mulosia (Sifa), Nick Moore, Lauren Theobald, Nicole Theobald, John Luke Theobald, Jerry Conyer III, and Willian Conyer.
Mrs. Conyer was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Theobald; her husband of 35 years, Jerry D. Conyer Sr.; her parents, Charles S. and Willa Dee Edwards; her brother, Alfred M. Edwards; and her sister, Susan Atkinson.
A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring of 2025 at Brookhill Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
