Dean Davis Obituary
Dean Phillip Davis, 87, born on November 26, 1938, passed away on January 18, 2026, at his home in Robbins, NC.
He was a faithful member of Guiding Light Baptist Church. He owned Dean's Mini Storage in Star, NC. Dean worked as a firefighter in Star, NC, in the hosiery mill, was a member of the Star Heritage Committee and helped with the Star Museum. He also loved working on old model vehicles.
Dean was preceded in death by his son Alan Davis.
He is survived by his wife Hilda Davis of the home and daughter Betty Sue Davis (David). Grandchildren David Davis Jr. (Sarah), Hanna Davis, Michael Waters (Tonya), as well as great grandchildren Marshall Waters and Noah Davis. Stepdaughter Karen Arney (Dennis), stepsons Michael C. Maness and Randy Lee Allen. Step-grandchildren Dustin Arney, Tanner Arney and Ray Maness.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Guiding Light Baptist Church at 2:00 pm officiated by Rev. Clyde Allen and Rev. Mike Holyfield. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:45pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
