Dean 'Deano' Patrick Moore

Dean "Deano" Patrick Moore, 56, of Hermantown, Minn., passed away on December 24, 2025, at his home of natural causes.

Dean was born in Clinton, Iowa, on March 18, 1969. He was the son of David Moore and Brenda (Simpkins) Moore. He spent his younger years in Mt. Iron, Minn., graduated from Hermantown High School in 1987 and went on to attend UMD. Dean's work history was colorful and included traveling with various ice shows (including the Ice Capades), managing corporate auto parts stores and owning and operating his own dive charter business. Dean was the owner of Glenwood Signs for 11 years and was the owner/manager of Clear Choice Property Solutions at the time of his passing.

Dean held a Charter Boat Captain's license, a PADI Master Scuba Diver Certification, and a construction contractor's license. He was involved in the Hermantown Youth Baseball Association and coached youth hockey and baseball in the Hermantown youth programs.

Dean is survived by his three adult children Daylen, David "Spencer", and Madeline; parents, David and Brenda Moore; brother, Brendan (Shawna); twin sister, Donna; nephews and nieces, Kosta, Breanna, Brayden, Brittany Carlson, Julia, and Nathan Simons; special family members of the Doyle family; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Highway, Hermantown, Minn., with Celebration of Life is to follow at Skyline Social.
