Mr. Dean Rockmore

Mr. Dean Rockmore, age 85, of Winder, Georgia passed away November 26, 2023. A lifelong resident of Barrow County, Mr. Rockmore was a son of the late J. E. and Ruby Carlyle Rockmore. He was preceded by his daughter, Vickie Lynn Skelton and siblings, Bobby Rockmore, Leroy Rockmore, Randall Rockmore, Ann Etheridge and Carolyn Davis. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon. Mr. Rockmore was a retiree of Panasonic Electronics where he was a supervisor of the shipping department.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Beatrice Landers Rockmore of Winder, Georgia, Daughter, Robbin Canup of Statham, Georgia, Grandchildren Whitney Canup, Cody (Ashley) Skelton, Alanna (Joe) Cannon, Great Grandchildren, Ian Bathurst, Franklin Canup, Lillian Ernst and Roklyn Skelton.
The Family will receive friends Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 12 Noon until 2 P. M. at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P. M., Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Mr. Ed Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Feeding Barrow, 179 West Athens Street, Winder, Georgia 30680.
