Dean Allan Sellberg
October 20, 1961 – November 21, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dean Allan Sellberg, who left this world on November 21, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on October 20, 1961, Dean lived a life filled with humor, curiosity, faith, and a deep love for the people around him.
Dean found peace and escape near the water and especially enjoyed fishing with his brother, John Sellberg-moments that brought them laughter, camaraderie, and lasting memories. He also loved music, particularly playing the harmonica and guitar, which became one of the purest expressions of his spirit.
A lifelong seeker of joy, Dean had a playful side that delighted in the simple pleasures. He loved bringing treasures found at Goodwill home to share with his mother and sister, a reflection of his generous, lighthearted nature.
Dean's faith in God was a cornerstone of his life. He was devoted to studying scripture and sought to live a life of compassion, love, and service. This devotion inspired him to volunteer at the La Vida Mission in New Mexico, where he gave his time and heart to help others.
He spent many years working on farms, embracing hard, honest work with pride and perseverance. Dean had a gift for making people laugh, lifting spirits with his humor, stories, and playful, kid-at-heart nature. Those who knew him will remember his laughter, his music, and the light he brought into every room.
Dean was proud of his daughter and his grandchildren. He delighted in seeing them grow, achieve, and create their own memories in life.
He is survived by his mother, Lee Francis Rouse-Sellberg; his daughter, Raeann Marie Perez; and his grandchildren Angelina Marie Blancas, Esperanza Alicia Perez, Kelvin John Perez II, Francisco Allan Perez, Kai Noah Perez, and his great-grandson Andres Xavier Roa. Dean is also survived by his siblings: Rosalee Driver and her husband Ted, with their children Timothy and Anna (and their eldest son Thomas, who preceded Dean in death); John Sellberg, with his daughters Natasha, Elysia, Katrina, and Cherise; and his sister Jennifer Hartung and her husband Brian.
Dean was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kimberly Sellberg, and his father, Allan Laurance Sellberg.
Dean's life was not without struggles, but it was full of love, laughter, and lessons that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His devotion to God, his music, his generosity, playful spirit, and the joy he found in family leave a lasting legacy that will never be forgotten.
Scripture
