Dean Edward Ware

Dean Edward Ware passed away on October 30, 2025 at approximately 7:30PM. Dean was born in 1935 on June 30th in Cleveland County, Shelby, NC. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Ware; grandson, Patrick Ware; and great grandchildren, Daidrien and Amelia Ware.
Dean was a cotton farmer as a child. He worked with his dad, Buford Ware, in the fields in Shelby, NC. He later went to Howard Business College in 1959., where he studied accounting. He was selected as the accounting student of the month in June of 1959 for his outstanding work. He was also president of the student body and was a member of Phi Theta Pi Business Fraternity. He also spent 4 years serving in the US Navy as a second-class petty officer. Before business college, he graduated from Gardner-Webb Jr. College with a better that a "B" average. Dean's favorite hobbies were golfing, bowling, swimming, singing, watching sports and movies, and playing board games. He loved the UNC Tarheels, the Atlanta Braves, and Arnold Palmer. He also enjoyed entertainment from Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Eddy Arnold. He loved old classic movies and westerns. He went on to become an accountant for Pepsi-Cola and that is where he would retire from.
He will forever be loved and missed, he was a hard worker and a great provider. He was very quiet and stayed to himself and was very independent, even up into his 90th year!
