Peggy was born on August 8, 1950 in Waukegan, IL to the late Lois Gramza (2003) and Earl Gramza (2010). She is also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William (Bill) Hardt (2022) and brother, Earl Gramza (2021).
Peggy previously lived in Fox Lake, IL where she attended Grant Community High School. She then worked as a homemaker in her own home. Peggy loved gardening, landscaping, and knitting.
Surviving Peggy Hardt are her children, Wendy Larson (Chuck) of Collettsville, NC, William Hardt (Brenda) of Morganton, NC, Sam Hardt (Cindy Franqui) of Morganton, NC, Nigel Hardt (Kendall) of Valdese, NC; grandchildren, Rain Larson, Lyric Larson, Stone Larson, Samiyah Hardt, Xyla Hardt, Sofia Hardt, Hendrix Hardt, Carrie Johnson, Kayle, Jaylynn, Adrianna; nieces, Amy Gramza, LaDena Reyes, Sandy Kaye, Joanna Craig, Heather Lantz, Beth Samson, Dottie Ruhl, Cindy Miller, Jenny Nelson; nephews, Ken Nelson, Steve Derkson, Tim Derkson, Mike Gramza, Chris Gramza, Walter Reyes, Ayden Nelson, Mike Nelson, Mike Kaye, Jeff Kaye, Jim Cox, Billy Cox, Alex Hardt; and best friend, Kathy Elgass.
