Deanna McBurney Obituary

Mrs. Deanna June McBurney, 70, of Bowman, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at St. Mary's Healthcare System in Athens, GA.

Mrs. McBurney was born on August 9, 1954, in Lawrenceville, GA, daughter of the late Sam Gibson and the late Nettie Jean Mason Gibson. She was an executive assistant having worked at Online Tower Services and was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Bowman, GA.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin McBurney; son, David Lee of Bowman, GA; daughter, Chelsea McBurney Norman of Oconee County, GA; brother, Barry Gibson of Norcross, GA; sisters, Sheila Fox (Jimmy) of Bold Springs, GA, Deborah Jarrard of Bowman, GA, and Sherri Pike of Bowman, GA; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mrs. McBurney will be held at a later date.

I was so very sorry to hear of Deanna's passing. She was one of the sweetest and kindest people I've ever met. I met her through her sister-in-law Judy Shipman who is also a wonderful person. My condolences to the family and all her friends may she rest in peace.
