AUBURN - Deanna May Provines, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at her home in Auburn, Indiana.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1939, in Auburn, to Clyde and Jessie (Soules) Rohm.
Deanna was a 1957 graduate of Auburn High School.
Her first job was at the Auburn Dinner in downtown Auburn, that her mother Jessie Rohm owned and operated. She then worked as a car hop at the A & W Root Beer stand on the south side of Auburn. While her children were young and growing she stayed at home to raise them and take care of her family. She went back to work at Essex in Auburn then ended up retiring from Messenger Corporation in Auburn.
Deanna was a member of Auburn Church of the Nazarene and a local Bunco Club with her daughter, Penny. She was a loving and caring mother of two children and loved her grandson, Causta, and her four great-grandchildren with all her heart.
She married David Alan Provines in 1957, at Auburn Methodist Church, and he passed away in 2010.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery Alan Provines, of Auburn; and a daughter, Penny Ann Provines, of Auburn; grandson, Causta Lewis, of Auburn; four great-granddaughters, Hunter Lewis, Hadley Lewis, Hartlynn Lewis and Haven Lewis; and sister in law, Ramona Rohm, of Auburn.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Eston Rohm; and a sister, Betty Howe.
Services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Auburn Church of the Nazarene, 2301 N. Main St., Auburn, IN 46706.
Calling will be two hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon, on Thursday at the church.
Burial will follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Preferred memorials are to Auburn Church of the Nazarene.
