Funeral services for Deanna Jean Chandler Shannon, of Butler will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with Rev. Johnathon Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, September 1, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Bumpers Funeral Home.

Ms. Shannon passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on September 23, 1935, in Butler, she was the daughter of Martin Van Buren Chandler and Gertie Maude Mosley Morgan. She cherished the time spent with all her family and friends. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Shannon, Jr. of Butler and Mike Ratcliff of Butler; daughter, Anna Turner (Chris) of Butler; sister, Peggy Ferry of Butler; grandchildren, Hope Tindle (Matt), Blake Ratcliff (Marti), Christopher Turner (Courtney), Dalton Turner (Jazzmine), Savannah Smith (Sasha), and Skye Shannon; great grandchildren, Mattie Grace Tindle, Traeger Tindle, Brantley Turner, Kacen Turner, Addisyn Turner, Ryder Turner and Hadley Ratcliff. Loving caregivers and special friends, Lois Ray, Brandi Hughes, Sheila Hall, and Denna Nelms.

She is preceded in death by her father, Martin Van Buren Chandler; mother, Gertie Maude Morgan; husband, Paul M. Shannon, Sr; daughter, Cindy Ratcliff; grandson, Little Paul Shannon, III.

Pallbearers include Christopher Turner, Dalton Turner, Matt Tindle, Paul Leger, Jr., Bo Martin, and Kyle Rutledge.
