Deanne Suitter Samples

Deanne Suitter Samples, 69, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away January 7, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Deanne, the youngest of eleven children, was born June 23, 1956, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Artell and Twila Suitter. She grew up on the family farm on 1st Street in Ammon. Growing up on a farm, she developed a love for animals. She rescued many animals throughout her life. She attended elementary school in Ammon and later graduated from Bonneville High School.

She had a son, Jared Suitter, on February 13, 1987. Deanne worked hard to provide a home for her and Jared. Throughout the years, Deanne had various jobs including banking and working for Idaho Falls School District 91 for several years at A.H. Bush Elementary. Jared passed away October 30, 2018.

Deanne married Donald Samples on March 19, 1994, in Shelly, Idaho. To this union, a daughter, Rachel Samples, was born May 9, 1995. They later moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where they made their home. Don passed away August 8, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Samples of Idaho Falls, ID; brothers, Francis (Renee) Suitter of Salt Lake City, UT, Robert (Debra) Suitter of Eagle, ID, and Ray Suitter of Tetonia, ID. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen Johnson of Mesa, AZ, Maureen (Robert) Parks of Ivins, UT, and Delaine Watson of Idaho Falls, ID.

Deanne is preceded in death by her son, Jared Suitter; husband, Donald Samples; her parents; brothers Artell Jr., Dale, and Richard Suitter; and sister, Marjorie Seedall.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for the care she received.

Family services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Ammon Cemetery.
