Deatra Lynell Feagin-Woods

Deatra Lynell Feagin-Woods, age 58, of Andalusia, Alabama, entered into eternal rest on October 10, 2025. Born and raised in Andalusia, Deatra was a woman of deep faith, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Deatra was born to the late Jeremiah and Mary L. Feagin. She was the beloved granddaughter of the late General and Estelle Feagin and the late Margaret Byrd. She is preceded in death by her siblings Lester, Rudean, Joe Mitchell, Tony, and Gregory Feagin.

Deatra leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 43 years, Calvin Woods; three loving children, Calvin Jr., Justin, and Heather (Jaden) Blakely; and seven beautiful grandchildren who were the light of her life.

She is also survived by her sister, Joanetta LaCount Borgund, and brother-in-law, Sven Borgund, of Houston, Texas; her sister, Teresa Serrato, of San Antonio, Texas; and her brother, Michael Feagin, of Andalusia, Alabama. Deatra will be forever remembered by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends-especially Cousins Patricia Daniels, Joann Williams, and Teneda Jones, who never left her side during her illness. A heartfelt thank you and special love go to our Aunt Jocie Sconiers, who has been like a mother to us. Aunt Jocie, we love you dearly.
