Debbie Fitzpatrick, 77, of Paris, MO, passed away at 8:50 AM, Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 23, 2026, at James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be at Samuel Taylor Cemetery in Rockport, IL.
Friends and Family are invited to Debbie's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the funeral home.
Debbie was born September 30, 1947, in Pittsfield, IL to Loren Clyde Garner and Ilah Virginia Blacketter.
She was married to Rex M. Fitzpatrick on June 19, 1976, in Hermann, MO. He preceded her in death in November of 1991.
Survivors include her two children, Kerry Lynn Burke (Kenny) of Paris, MO and Lorenanita McCaw (Joshua) of Philadelphia, MO; one brother, Darold Garner (Connie) of Hannibal, MO; one sister, Penny Garner (David Carroll) of Philadelphia, MO; eight grandchildren, Shanna Dotson (Jod), Stephanie Selsor (Cody), Kayla McQueen, Nicole Wilt (Clay), Kenneth Isaac Burke, Kelsey Jennings (Brian Rhee), Ashley Duncan (Micah), and Matthew Jennings (Shi Janelle); 15 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Brennan, Mason, Carson, Dawson, Jacob, Brayden, Riley, Mabrie, Milah, Brantley, Cooper, Baby Wilt, Ethan, and Baby Rhee; and several nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon K. Straus.
Debbie was primarily a homemaker, but over the years worked in several positions, ranging from local factories to welding and pipefitting.
Debbie enjoyed life's simple pleasures, she found great delight in the world of television. Lifetime movies, Criminal Minds, and the excitement of discovering new treasures on QVC were Debbie's favorites. Her creative spirit shone brightly through her love of crocheting, a craft in which she excelled. The intricate patterns and vibrant colors she used were reflections of her personality-warm, inviting, and full of life. A wonderful cook, Debbie was known for her peach cobbler, cucumber and onions, and the best fried potatoes. Beyond her hobbies and talents, it was Debbie's unwavering dedication to her loved ones that truly defined her. She was a beacon of light to her family and friends. Her home was a hub of warmth and laughter, where friends were always welcome and family was cherished above all. Debbie's love for socializing was matched only by her capacity for making each person she met feel like the most important in the world. Debbie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Jennings, Kenneth Isaac Burke, Clay Wilt, Josh McCaw, Cody Selsor, and Micah Duncan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Garner, Mark Lovelace, Shelby Lovelace, and Brennan Johnson.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
