Debbie M Hernandez

Debbie M Hernandez, age 65, passed away at home on December 4, 2025. She was born on June 1, 1960 in Perth Amboy, NJ. Debbie has been a resident of Edison since 1994 and worked as an accountant until her retirement. She was an immensely loving mother, a gregarious neighbor, devoted spouse, supportive friend, and the epitome of unconditional love. Debbie's open heart and kind soul meant that she was constantly making new friends and always lending help to whoever needed it. As an active member of her community, Debbie volunteered at various churches, coached youth sports, and always participated in school events for her children. She was brave, present, and too sweet for this world. Debbie held a strong love for puzzles, dogs, family festivities, reading, cooking, gardening, and quality time with her loved ones. Without fail, Debbie could light up a room with her sincerity and smile, and she had a genuine talent for making others laugh and feel seen; her presence will be greatly missed.

Debbie is predeceased by her eldest sibling, Cindy Ondar, and her parents, Pete Ondar, Loretta Errickson, and Bill Errickson.

Surviving Debbie are her beloved husband, Tony; her two children, Andrew and Nenna; and her brother, along with his wife, Al and Pat Ondar.

Visitation will take place on Monday, December 8, 2025 between the hours of 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin the next morning at the funeral home at 10:00 AM, followed by a 10:30 Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Cremation will be private.
