Debbie Tisonyai Shaner, 68, of Zanesville, died at 12:52 A.M. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Hospice of Central Ohio Inpatient Unit at OSU Wexner Medical Center. She was born August 24, 1956, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Russell L. Adams and Shirley (Flynn) Adams. Debbie was a Registered Nurse and spent many years working at Bethesda Hospital, Medical Specialists, Healthcare Specialists, and QCP, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed riding bikes and kayaking. She was a lover of all animals besides frogs. She adored her dogs and loved traveling and being near the ocean and in the sunshine.
She is survived by her husband John E. Shaner MD, whom she married September 13, 2014; two sons, Jason Tisonyai and Joshua (Taylor Wright) Tisonyai; two step daughters, Sarah (Sean Moran) Shaner and Rebecca (Nick) Forster; two grandchildren, Josie Robbins, and Robin Forster; sister-in-law, Terri Adams (Sissy); Aunt, Barb Bess; niece Mikaela (Alex) Nash; great-niece, Tyler Marie Nash and many loved cousins and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Russell “Butch” Adams.
Friends and family may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M on Thursday, November 21, 2024, with Evangelist Jeff Shaner officiating.
