Debora L. Rivera

Debora L. Rivera, 64, of Westport, passed away at 11:54 PM on Monday, May 5, 2025, at her residence. She was born on January 18, 1961, in Albion, Michigan, the daughter of William Adis and Doris (Aslin) Allen. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in North Vernon. Debora enjoyed sports, especially softball. She was a great ball player and passed her abilities to her son and grandsons. She loved riding motorcycles and her Detroit Lions and Tigers. Debora married Pilar Rivera, Jr., on January 1, 1978, in Cleveland, Oklahoma and he survives. Other survivors include her son, Pilar Rivera, III of Columbus; sister, Susan Allen of Petosky, Michigan; brother, James Allen of Homer, Michigan; grandchildren, Darrius, Jonathan, John, Thiago and Haleigh. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Francis, Gertrude, Carol and Doris and her brother, William Jr. Following her wishes she will be cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses through the funeral home.
