Debora K. Wheeler, 66, of Frankfort, died on Saturday morning, July 27, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, after a courageous fight with lung cancer. She was born on Tuesday, December 3, 1957, in Columbus, the daughter of William Joseph and Betty Jane Adams Graham. On June 22, 1974, she married Gary K. Wheeler, and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2023.
Debora is survived by her three children, Gary William (Leigh-Ann) Wheeler, of Frankfort, Misty Lynette (Danny) Colter, of Mount Sterling, Tami Ranae (Preston) Reisinger, of Frankfort, ten grandchildren, Rachel Graves, Kyalynn Elder, Kayleigh Wheeler, Blake Yoe, Caydence Reisinger, Jaxon Reisinger, Brandon Wheeler, Sean Wheeler, Ian Wheeler, Dalton Wheeler, two great-grandchildren, Kayson Graves, Hadlee Graves, and her special friend, Judi Houser. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gary K. Wheeler, one grandson, Garrett Curtis, and one great-grandson, Daxton Graves.
Debora loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved Elvis Presley and being out in the country. She was raised as a preacher’s daughter, and this helped establish her strong primitive Baptist faith.
A funeral service for Debora will be held at 1pm on Friday, August 2, 2024, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Pastor Christopher Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Family and friends can visit with Debora’s family at the funeral home on Thursday evening, from 6 to 8pm. Debora’s family suggest that memorial contributions be made directly to the funeral home to assist in funeral expenses. Donations may be made in person or on the funeral home’s website, www.ebrightfuneralhome.com. Those who wish to share a memory of Debora may do so by signing her online register.
