Deborah (Debbie) Sue Baird, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Howell on July 12, 2023. Debbie was 49. She is

survived by her husband, Scot who was the by the Love of her Life; as well as their furry kids Reggie and Diesel. She also leaves behind four in-laws who loved her as if their own (Some say family would choose her over Scot). Rick and Mary Jane Dawson and Jim and Pat Baird Also, surviving are five siblings Judy Shepherd (Rick), Brenda Hackett (Eddie), Harold Brown, Wanda Brown, Dale Brown (Lori). As well as five brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law; Jim and Melinda Baird, Jason Baird, Brad Dawson, Ryan and Dulcy Dawson, Burke Dawson. Debbie is also survived by a number of extended family including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her father, Harold Brown also survives. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Zimmerman. Debbie was the youngest of six children, growing up in Garden City, MI. In 1986 she moved to Reading, MI graduating from Reading High School in 1991.In 1986 she moved back to Garden City where she and Scot eventually met. They married in 2000.Debbie and Scot moved to Howell, MI in 1998 where they welcomed family and their amazing network of friends to Euchre parties, Balloon Fest, Christmas Parades, BBQs and bonfires.

Debbie was the epitome of the Best Hostess. She was also known as the "Cookie Lady" to the Howell Police Department and the Livingston County Sheriff Department. Those who liked pecan pie said that hers was THE BEST! She fostered a few dogs, and eventually adopted four others. She loved being in a group of family and/or friends. She loved to play Euchre and recently started going to Euchre Night at the American Legion Hall in Howell.

Debbie was committed to those who protect all of us. Prior to the pandemic, she visited the VA hospital in Ann Arbor every Wednesday evening to visit with the Veterans on Unit CLS. She always brought cookies to pass out. Sometimes, her volunteer evening coincided with a BINGO night hosted by different Veteran organizations. She really enjoyed the Veterans, and they loved her visits. She was a fabulously talented organizer in her personal life and at the various moving companies who employed her as a Consultant and Coordinator of Services for long distance moves. She became a dear friend to nearly everyone she worked with.

Debbie had a talent for pulling people into her life. She was generous to a fault. She was funny with a great sense of humor (sometime on the dry side) and a contagious smile that would light up a room. She always made you feel welcome in her presence. She picked out the perfect gifts for everyone. She had the biggest heart for dogs. She loved Michigan, but also enjoyed traveling with Scot to see new places. She always seemed to find a significant memento to bring back home with her. Scot was the Love of her Life: Debbie, in turn, was his. She will be missed by so many families and friends. There isn't another person that could possibly fill her shoes. The world was a lot brighter with her in it. She left a hole in the hearts of so many when she left us.

A Memorial: "Remembering Debbie" will be held from 1-4 PM at the Belleville Yacht Club; 831 E Huron River Drive, Belleville, MI 48111 on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

Please keep it casual and wear bright colors! Deb's favorite color is BLUE. Since it's Deb, the party queen, drinks will be served!

"Her absence is like the sky, spread over everything." - C.S. Lewis

I can not express the emptiness we feel without your presence. I am so thankful you lived every moment to its fullest and made everyone around you do the same. You loved hard, worked hard, and played harder. You never lost a beat. Those of us you swept up with you are forever lost in the aftermath of this tragedy. My heart goes to everyone who loved you.

I haven´t seen Debbie in few years but am extremely saddened to hear of her passing. I was blessed to have her as a client for many years. Oh how we struggled with her beautiful curly hair sometimes, but she always made ME feel like it was the best haircut ever (lol it wasn´t) but that was Debbie. She was always more concerned about me than herself. She will be missed much love Debbie

Speaking for myself and my family, as nearby neighbors, for years we saw Debbie daily walking her dogs, and we could always count on a very friendly and delightful exchange. We will always remember her as a neighborhood angel and will miss her greatly. Our deepest condolences to Scot and anyone else who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mira and I were shocked to learn of Debbie´s sudden passing. For over a year Deb was coordinating our move, and every conversation we had was friendly and professional. She never treated us like a customer, but more like part of the family. Our sincere condolences to Deb´s family, friends and those she worked with at Powell Relocation. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
