Deborah Barranco, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 21, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on September 21, 1953, Deborah filled her years with love, laughter, and countless memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her.

Deborah was a devoted partner to her loving husband of 45 years, Scott David Barranco. Their journey together was marked by mutual respect and unwavering support. Together, they built a family that brings joy and pride to their legacy.

A passionate matriarch, Deborah took great delight in spending time with her children, Anita Gabrielson (Jason), Michael Barranco (Jill), Mary King (Demarcus), and Jennifer Barranco. She was not only a mother but a beacon of encouragement, attending sporting events and school functions to cheer them on. Deborah had a special bond with her 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, whom she spoiled with affection, gifts, and her unwavering presence.

Her favorite time of year was Christmas, when she would transform her home into a festive wonderland, gathering her family to celebrate the joy of the season. Deborah revered the beach, often reminiscing about the peace and happiness it brought to her life. Whether decorating or spending precious moments during the holidays, she exuded warmth and love that drew her family closer together.

Deborah’s passion for sports was evident through her unwavering support for her son, who is a coach at Alamo Heights High School. She was an avid fan of The Cowboys and took great pleasure in watching games, always encouraging her family in their athletic endeavors.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, William Albert and Florence Marie Bukholdt, as well as her beloved son, Baby "Johnny," and five siblings, Helen, Buck, Sherri, Jimmy, and John. They welcomed her into eternity with open arms, and her memory will continue to shine brightly through all who remain.

Friends and family are invited to honor Deborah's life with a Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 17501 Nacogdoches Road in San Antonio, TX, on December 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 AM.

Deborah Barranco’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her loving family, whose lives she touched profoundly with her kindness and love. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
