Deborah Marie Beck

05/13/1958 - 09/13/2025

After struggling for several years with respiratory and heart issues, Deborah Marie Beck, 67, Deb, as so many knew her, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She died at home in Glenrock, Wyoming after leaving the Casper, Wyoming hospital and being placed in hospice care. She knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was at peace. Her last wishes were to be with Jesus and her mother.
Deb was born on Tuesday, May 13, 1958 in the Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, the daughter of Edward Charles and Mary Louise (Dowlings) Van Scoten Sr.
Her father was a career Air Force sergeant, so she lived and went to school in many places including overseas. She graduated from Hinkley High School in Aurora, Colorado in 1976. She attended and graduated from Willford Academy in New York in 1988 with her beautician license. She also received an associate degree from Eastern Wyoming Junior College on May 12, 2012.
Her work experience included waitress, hair dresser, dental assistant, substitute teacher, and she retired from Glenrock High School in 2018 where she worked as a secretary. She also completed woodworking and metal projects while working at the high school. She enjoyed doing crafts such as crocheting and quilting, reading, enjoyed the outdoors like fishing and going on hunting adventures in her spare time and she loved animals, especially her dogs and cats.
She had three children from her first marriage to Vincent Stoldt, William (Jacque), Matthew (Seneca), and Crystal (Cody). Her grandchildren from this marriage are Ella and Sawyer, Garrett and Ashton, Carter and Carson, and Caden and Madison. She also helped raise several stepchildren from a previous marriage to Raymond Bouissey. They are Stacey, Eric, Danny, and Karen. She married Steven Beck on July 17, 2017 in Glenrock, Wyoming. She said this date was special also because it was the date her mom and dad got married in 1954.
She is also survived by her father, Edward; husband, Steven; and siblings, Edward Van Scoten Jr, Ron Van Scoten, and Sherri Scavo.
A celebration of life service remembering her life will be held in May, 2026.
